 “Only Emily”

Edmund is living with his uncle in a big city. Edmund is calm boy and has a sweet smile. He is always sitting at the park and enjoys the fresh air in the garden.

Scene 1: At the Park — afternoon.

Edmund: Hay...Nice to meet you.

Emily     : Do you talk to me?

Edmund: yes. I’m talking to you.

Emily      : Have we ever met before?

Edmund: I have ever seen you here.

Emily      : I’m Emily, nice to meet you (shaking hand)

Edmund: Ed, Edmund Smith. Nice to meet you too.

Emily     : I’ve just seen you around here? Where are you come from?

Edmund: Yeah...I always here on the weekend and I’ve been living here on street.12 for three months with my uncle, I come from Jabob a small city in the East of this Island.

Emily     : Woww...Jabob. Are you Jabobnesse?

Edmund: No, I’m Havanesse where I’m living now. I was born and grew up in Jabob, but     now I had finished my Senior High School so I’m here to work. How about you?

Emily     : I’m Muranesse, I’m living with my aunt and uncle Mr.Paul in front of office of Amplaz Travel beside St.Paulus church and I’m a student of Peter University.

Edmund: So, do you school here?

Emily     : Yaps...exactly. Oh... soft drink? (Handing some soft drink)

Edmund: (Pick the soft drink) Thank you.

              It’s about twenty minutes later.

Edmund: I’m Sorry Emily I have to leave now.

Emily     : Yeah...be carefull. See you Edmund.

Edmund: See you, Emily.

They are closer day by day and often go out together.

Scene 2: Office – afternoon

Edmund is sitting on a chair and have a fantasy, Suddenly Ryan is seeing and approaching him.

 Ryan      : hey, hey...what are you thinking about dude? Do you have a problem with your work? How about your client?

Edmund : hahahaa...You surprised me. Everything is Ok, trust me.

Ryan       : Oh, that’s good. Mmmm...I know you have a fantasy with someone, haven’t you? Edmund: No, no I have not. Really.

Ryan       : Do you have any girlfriend?

Edmund : No, I have not at all.

Ryan       : hahahaha...you are a boy, it sounds funny, man. Don’t you see Grace is beautiful, she makes every man entire this Office are interested and love sick on her.

Edmund:  I’m single and happy. I enjoy my life very much, I think she is common girl as normal as another girl.

Ryan       : hmmm...you are strange. Come on have a lunch in canteen. (Pulling up Edmund’s arm)

Six months later.

            Edmund is falling in love with Emily, but he has not any brave to talk the truth, Then, they just spend time together if they have a chance they go out together as usual.

Scene 3: Saturday Afternoon—at the beach

Mr. Ronie held a new year party and lunch together with his employees at the beach. So, he asks Mr.Paul’s family to join with them. While Emily has just arrived with her aunt, uncle cousin and nephew she sees Edmund at the distant.

Emily      : (tapping Edmund shoulder) Hi... How could you here too?

Edmund: Mr. Ronie is my manager in my office, where is the office I had working now, but he is my uncle also.

Emily      : Oh...He is my uncle’s close friend.                

Edmund: Wow...that’s nice.

           

Edmund and Emily are seen at distant, Vhey is a flirt girl. Mr.Paul’s niece walks approaching to them.

Vhey      : Hi...how are you Emily?  (Seems surprised, looking at Edmund and Emily) both of you have been known each other.

Emily      : (confused) do you know Edmund?

Vhey       : Of course I know him (grab Edmund’s arm) hahaha...This is nice. Isn’t it?

Edmund: ya...we have been friend for 2 weeks.

Emily      : yes, you’r e right.

Vhey       : Oh...Emily I want to talk with Edmund.

Edmund : What do you mean? (Confused)

Emily      : It’s Ok. You may go.

Vhey       : Execusme (pulling Edmund’s arm)

Edmund : Vhey!!!  (Looking at Emily)

(They leave Emily alone)

 Lunch time.

Mr. Ronie       : Where is Ed?

Cornel              : I don’t know. I’m looking for him too.

Mrs.Augustin: Vhey is not here too. Where do they go?

            Everybody is confused where they go without any permitting. It is about 2 hours they come together from somewhere, after the day.

Scene 4: Family room— evening

Mr. Ronie and Edmund have a serious conversation.

Mr. Ronie: Edmund, You had been living here and still single, don’t you?

Edmund   : Yes, I know that. But, I am happy and enjoy my life.

Mr. Ronie: I think that Verly is a kind and beautiful girl in our office. You might to ask her for dating.

Edmund   : hehee...No, it is impossible.

Mr. Ronie: why? Or you are afraid to say it by yourself? If you cannot, I’ll do that for you?

Edmund   :  (pull his breath) Yes, you’re right; she is kind, nice, beautiful, but... I have not any feeling on her.

Mr. Ronie: I care you too, Now is your time to choose a girl to get married I hope you will think about it again. (Smiling and leave Edmund)

Edmund   : Yes, I will (unhappy and silent) How could I do that, Vhey is a flirt girl try to get closer with me, now my uncle. He forces me for a girl that I haven’t any feelings. No, no, no, I have to say the truth to Emily that I love her, I don’t want anyone involve in for my love. Oh... God help me!

(He goes to bedroom and cannot close his eyes for sleeping any little time during the night. He feels concerned the girl that he loves)

Scene 5:  Office Canteen— Afternoon

Rick         : Would it be possible for us to get free meals like this every day.

Edmund: Perhaps. But, we should pay in the last day every month, hahahaa...

Rick         : Oh...how poor we are, Hahaha...

Edmund: Rick do you have a girlfriend?

Rick         : Girlfriend? I ever date but it passed. It’s hurt.

Edmund: Some girls Rick, and I don’t care for the girl they are, I wonder my uncle want to choose a girl for me but, I have another girl. This girl is different than the others I can see on her face. She is not beautiful but with her I feel comfort, happy and wonderful.

Rick         : Wow. It means that you are falling in love right now?

Edmund: Yaps , you are right, her name is Emily, but I am afraid she is not loving me  I think that we spend many times together I scared Emily is  getting angry and she does not care to me anymore. So it is better to keep close to Emily than say my feelings.

Rick         : Do you ever try?

Edmund: No, No at all.

Rick         : I suggest you to try it. Do something Before anyone get her before you or your uncle will choose another for you also.

Edmund: Ok thanks Erick, I’ll do it right now.

Edmund: (get his cellphone) hello, Emily...Emily I’m sorry for disturbing you.

Emily     : No, it’s Ok. Can I help you?

Edmund: I need to talk something with you.

Emily      : So, What is that, Ed?

Edmund: we will talk it later, do you free tomorrow?

Emily      : Yes, I free tomorrow. I have not class.

Edmund: Can we go for an American food in Alfa Restaurant?

Emily      : Yes, There is a chance.

Edmund: I’ll pick you up at 07.00 PM.

Emily      : Yes. I’ll wait for you.

Edmund: Ok. See you tommorow.bye (hang up the phone)

Erick      : That is amazing. Good Luck, man.

Edmund: Thanks.

Scene 6: Glorya Cafe—evening

(They are eating)

Edmund: How’s life Emily?

Emily     : I’m great. How about you, are you more comfortable with your new place?

Edmund: I’m Very well, because I see your funny face (Laughing)

Emily     : What? What makes me funny? Am I a clown? (Open wide eyes)

Edmund: hahaha...No, I’m kidding you.

Emily     : So, I’m your doll and entertain you along the day, huh? hahaha..

Edmund: hahahhaa...no, I told you I’m joke. Ok I want to talk you something.

Emily     : Ok, What is that?

Edmund: (seems serious) Emily, I love you.

Emily     : (stop chew) are kidding me again?

Edmund: No, at this time I’m serious. I really love you, I’m happy; I’m comfort when you are on my side Emily.

(They are looking each other)

Emily     : How about Vhey? You had been dating with her. How could you falling in love to me?

Edmund: (surprised) I never been dating with her anytime.

Emily     : You went out with her without any permitting when we were at the beach.

Edmund: No. Emily, I was just taking her and bought something, because she asked me to take her, just it and no special thing anymore. Really. Do you love me Emily?

Emily       : I think you might know why I was just smiling to you at the beach, At the time I had been fallen in such different feelings that falling in love with you.  I love you too Edmund.

Edmund: (hold Emily’s hand) I love you so much Emily. Really no one can make me falling in love, just you in my mind that always making me happy, comfort, passionate, wonderful. Thank for loving me Emily.

Finally, Edmund and Emily are dating, Vhey is stay away of them, and Edmund’s Uncle is happy his cousin has a girlfriend.
